This course is for people who are consistently attracted to and get in intimate relationships with unavailable partners. Students will discover possible reasons for this relationship compulsion and develop strategies for overcoming and choosing right. Students will have the opportunity to transform the quality of their relationships.

Rev. Dr. Irie Lynne Session, raised in New Your City Housing projects, holds an undergraduate degree in Social Work from Oklahoma Christian University; a Master of Divinity with Certificate in Black Church Studies from Brite Divinity School; and a Doctor of Ministry in Transformative Leadership and Prophetic Preaching from Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School. She is ordained with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) where she has pastored for 15 years. Currently, she serves as a Church Planter and Co-Pastor of The Gathering, A Womanist Church in Dallas, Texas.
Dr. Irie, an award-winning minister and Spiritual Entrepreneur, is CEO of DreamBig Courses, Coaching, Content, & Community. With DreamBIG Dr. Irie shares tools and strategies that when implemented help women B.O.S.S UP ( Build Opportunities for Self-Sufficiency) - identify latent skills, professional experience, and hard earned expertise and transform them into scalable products like coaching programs, books, online courses, and consulting services. Dr. Irie leverages 30+ years of ministry and social work with the ultimate goal being to support sistars in ministry & the marketplace achieve economic autonomy. Dr. Irie is also a Professor in Perkins School of Theology’s Course of Study School and Adjunct at Brite Divinity School at Texas Christian University. She is a 2019 recipient of a Pastoral Study Project Grant from the Louisville Institute. Dr. Irie dedicated 14 ½ years to helping transform the lives of survivors of prostitution and other forms of commercial sexual exploitation with New Friends New Life-a Dallas non-profit. In her multi-faceted role as Director of Training, Spiritual Support and Survivor Leadership Dr. Irie helped hundreds of women and their children overcome backgrounds of abuse, addiction, poverty and limited opportunities. As part of her ministry with NFNL she also developed and provided a spiritual empowerment curriculum to women incarcerated in Dallas County Jails. Dr. Irie’s vocational experiences also include employment with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice as a Parole Officer, Child Protective Services as an Investigator, and Adolescent Services Director for Bryan’s House, a Dallas non-profit serving children and families impacted by HIV/AIDS. In 2017, Dr. Irie presented a TEDX Talk titled, “HerStory: A Womanist Trauma Informed Approach to Teaching the Bible Text to Prostituted Women”. In 2018 Dr. Irie was invited to the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women and Girls to present a symposium on “Social Media and Sexual Trauma: A Platform for Black Women Survivors to Unite, Support One Another, Raise Awareness, & Strategize to Dismantle PMS (Patriarchy, Misogyny, and Sexism)”. Dr. Irie is a sought-after speaker, preacher and presenter whose been featured on television, radio, and in a variety of magazine articles addressing issues such as sexual Abuse, HIV/AIDS, racism, gender & sexuality, sex trafficking, and women in ministry.
